How do I format my spreadsheet (CSV) file?

When you invite people to contribute to a Group Video, you may want to save time and upload a spreadsheet with all your contributors' names and contact information, rather than entering them manually. 

Note: Currently, you can only upload email addresses in CSV files, not phone numbers. If you'd like to invite people via text message, please enter them onto your Contributor List manually. (The ability to upload a list of phone numbers is coming soon!)

Import from CSV:

To create a CSV file from Excel, open the spreadsheet in Excel. From the "File" menu, choose "Save As," and then change the "Save as type" to "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.CSV)". Click Save. Now you are ready to upload the CSV file.

To start, click on "Invite Contributors" from your Dashboard. Select the option " Import from CSV" located below the manual entry fields. Click the Upload button. Navigate to the correct folder and select the file to upload.

The file will need at least one column titled "Email Address". Open your file before you upload and make sure to add one of these column titles if they are not already there. Other columns titles "First Name" and "Last Name" will also be imported if present. These column titles must be in the cells at the very top of the spreadsheet (in row 1). Examples:

Note: If you have one column for "Name", only the first and last name present in the column will be uploaded. For example: "John Smith" and "John Matthew Smith" will both be uploaded as "John Smith". If you'd like all middle names to show, please separate the Name column into "First Name" and "Last Name" and place all given names in the "First Name" column, as seen in the examples above.
